Introduction
I volunteer with a group called All Hands and Hearts, an international organization founded by supermodel Petra Nemcova after her fiance died and she barely survived a tsunami in southeast Asia. AHAH sends volunteers to disaster areas all over the world to assist in rebuilding homes and schools. They have volunteers from 144 countries and have served 26 different countries. Their website is: Allhandsandhearts.org I first volunteered with AHAH in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian devasted Marsh Harbor in 2019. It was hard work but a wonderful experience. I was invited to apply for and then accepted to a program to rebuild houses in poor areas of Arkansas devasted by a tornado. This program is different from previous AHAH relief programs because it is smaller, just 7 volunteers (there were 60 of us sleeping in one school room in the Bahamas) and it will be filmed for a reality TV show called "Fast:Home Rescue".
